Since the acquisition of La Croizille in 1996, the DE SCHEPPER family has the intention of producing an exceptional wine. Out of respect for the elders, the exceptional terroir and the challenge. Combining this great terroir with cutting-edge technology and traditional know-how. The DE SCHEPPER family is a wine merchant in Belgium and in France (Maison De Mour). The château La Croizille is one of the five wineries owned by the family in Bordeaux. Dès son acquisition de La Croizille en 1996, la famille De Schepper a l’intention d’y élaborer un vin d’exception. Par respect de ses aînés, par respect du terroir exceptionnel et par défi ; alliant ce grand terroir à une technologie de pointe et un savoir-faire traditionnel. La famille De Schepper est négociant en vin en Belgique et en France (Maison De Mour). Le château La Croizille fait partie des cinq propriétés de la famille à Bordeaux.

HISTORY

The De Schepper family has been working at Château Tour Baladoz since 1950. After many years of work, Emile De Schepper and then his son Firmin have succeeded in making of Château Tour Baladoz a proud representative of the Saint-Emilion Grands Crus. The younger son, Jacques, acquired the neighbouring estate, château La Croizille in 1996. Accompanied by his nephew Olivier, son of Firmin, and the director Jean-Michel Garcion, he carried out a complete restructuring of the vineyard and the construction of a new winery meeting all the technical requirements and offering exceptional views of the exceptional landscape.

The Team

Since 1991, Jean-Michel Garcion has been working tightly with the family, investing in quality for all the family's properties. Knowing how to surround himself with competent people, Jean-Michel has been assisted since 2008 by Thierry Delage for the elaboration of the wines of Châteaux Tour Baladoz and Château La Croizille. In 2013, with the arrival of Hélène, Jacques' daughter, La Croizille opens up to wine tourism. A permanent team of guides has been welcoming visitors since 2015.
